Conclusion

In conclusion coffee is not bad. The amount we are consuming, and the amount we are spending is the problem. Consuming three or four cups and spending up to twenty dollars per day to support this habit is criminal.
The idea of the 'perfect' cup of coffee should be a reward or a luxury rather than daily routine.
Although there are health benefits there are also health negatives that we need to keep in mind. The constant need for coffee has now become more than an temptation, but an addiction. I am not saying to give up coffee all together but simply make some cut backs which will save you money, lower the risk of addiction and keep your body healthy.

  1. Hey Alysse,
your topic was definitely interesting! i have never looked at coffee consumption like this before. I am not a big coffee drinker but my friends are and while reading your blog I have realised that my friends are the people you have described in your blog! They would walk 15 mins to their fav. cafe to get their coffee but can't be bothered to go down to the shop and get them something to eat. Strange but true, their money goes down the drain to coffee. Luckily i have not been tempted into joining this "Addiction" and hope not to get into it any time soon hehe Apple over coffee is what i say! Hopefully i receive the same benefits from fruits while keeping away from the health negatives! Good blog very easy to understand.
